The Vision for Manassas must continue to evolve. The City leadership (aka City Council & Mayor) must take the City forward by recasting the public dialog and moving the City towards being the place to live in Northern Virginia. We can achieve this by evaluating the Strategic plan and formulating actionable plans for the near future. Currently, we are keeping the wheels turning but not much else.

Image is also important and ours has taken a beating. In 2002, Manassas was the best place to live in the area. Currently, nobody really knows us for anything other than Immigration issues. The tone of the public discussion must evolve and change for us to be successful. If people aren't talking about what a great place Manassas is to live then they will not be living here. This needs to change.  Note that this is not the same as saying we don't have a problem. It merely recognizes that we have a lot going for us and people need to know about it.
